All attendees are responsible for organising their own accommodation. There are several hotels close to the zawiya, some within walking distance and others only a 5–10-minute drive away. A simple online search for hotels near the postcode “B28 0EG” will show what is available. Below are links to some of the hotels close to the zawiya:
Children aged 11 and below will NOT be allowed in the marquee during the lessons.
The Suhbas are for murids to benefit from the teachings and company of the Sheikh and not a family holiday. The organisers are not responsible for providing activities for children. During the lessons, parents can look after their children inside the zawiya building (which will have a sound feed) or take them to the nearby Shire Country Park with its famous Sarehole Mill and other delightful sites. The park is within walking distance from the zawiya. There is also a play area, with slides and swings, on Marion Way, less than 5 minutes from the zawiya.
Alternatively, parents can look after their children in their hotel rooms while listening to the lessons via a broadcast link that they can access on their electronic device.
Facilities at and around the Zawiya
The lessons will be held in a marquee, which will be set up in the zawiya car park. It will be heated, carpeted, and made as comfortable as possible. It will accommodate up to 800 people.
The local Masjid Eesa Ibn Maryam, on 14 Etwall Road, B28 0LE, is within walking distance from the zawiya. It has facilities for both men and women.
Parking
There will be no parking available at the zawiya. People may wish to park on the side streets (taking care to avoid grass verges and driveways) but are encouraged to walk or take a taxi (Uber or other providers) from their hotels.
