    • Shuttle Service – Transportation to Zawiya and back – AUD$50 per person for the duration of your stay. Timetable will be provided upon your arrival to Sydney.
    • Airport Pick-Up (only for international guests and mureeds) – Please email travel@sydneysuhba.com and provide flight and arrival details.
    • It is requested that if you choose this option, please book individually with the hotel using the contact details above and make your payments directly with the hotel. The Suhba administration plays no part in this process.
    • It is imperative that you email Sidi Ibrahim Anderson at travel@sydneysuhba.com when you have finalised your accommodation payments and all travel plans to Australia and provide him with the relevant details.

  2. Zawiya Accommodation (only for brothers)
    • Zawiya al-Samaa’ is located at 52 Park Road, Auburn NSW 2144 and is the location for the Australian Suhba
    • This option is only available to brothers travelling to the Suhba on their own and is available from Thursday 14/9/17 until Tuesday 18/9/17. Please make your own arrangements outside of these dates.
    • The cost of staying at the Zawiya will be AUD$50 per night. We ask that you settle your accommodation payments to be given directly to Sidi Mohammed al-Halabi as soon as you arrive to the Zawiya .
    • Those opting to stay at the Zawiya must bring their own bedding such as sleeping bags/blankets/pillows as these will not be provided.
    • Lights are turned off and gates will be locked at 2300hrs every night and then reopened at the time of Fajr. You will not be allowed back in after that time without a reasonable explanation. Hanging out with family/friends is not a valid excuse.
    • It is also expected of all guests to have all their bedding and belongings packed up and ready to be stored in the allocated area by 0900hrs every morning.
    • No food is to be consumed inside the Zawiya at other than the scheduled lunch and dinner. Outside these allocated times, food can be consumed at the rear pergola area of the Zawiya.
    • Breakfast will not be provided at the Zawiya. There are plenty of Muslim-owned Halal food retailers close by and within a short walking distance.
    • Please bear in mind that we have limited toilet and shower facilities at the Zawiya. There are two toilet cubicles and one shower facility in the men’s toilet block. In order to use the showers, the men’s toilet block will have to be locked. Therefore no one is able to use the toilets if someone is taking a shower. It is for this reason that the brothers are requested to be considerate and keep their showers to less than 5 minutes.
    • Showers can be taken between 0800hrs and 0900hrs and between 1600hrs and 1800hrs. We have allocated times for the toilet block to be cleaned, so please adhere strictly to these times.
    • The facilities in the Zawiya are basic in nature and due to the nature of shared living, some level of noise and rumblings are to be expected. If you are sensitive to noise or require a much better standard of living, we recommend the Hotel option.
    • If you decide to choose this option, please email Sidi Mohammed al-Halabi at zawiya@sydneysuhba.com to book your place. Additionally, if you require airport pick-up, you would need to arrange it with Sidi Ibrahim Anderson by sending an email to travel@sydneysuhba.com

As in previous years, there are no registration fees to attend the Australian Suhba 2017. However, due to the costs that the Suhba administration have to cover, we encourage donations which can be handed to Sidi Mohammed al-Halabi (men), Umm Junaidah (sisters) or any of the Suhba volunteers. There will also be donation boxes at the reception desks and inside the Zawiya. We thank you for your support.

There is also no requirement to register for the Suhba. Those travelling from international destinations who require accommodation and airport pick-up please see the accommodation tab for contact details and more information.
